The English electorate wants the following:

Cheaper fuel bills - and certainly an end to fuel poverty

Decent care for the elderly - and they don't want to pay for it

Weekly bin emptying (and Google how often this discussed compared with higher education funding)

Lower Council Tax

Higher pensions

No repossession of their houses

We are about to have the debate about higher education funding - well actually how much students should pay towards their fees

Considering the environment in which the debate is about to take place you will be lucky if the rest of society doesn't turn round and go - lift the cap we need the cash
