interesting post and once another, strange claim from Birzeit, I thought no one went ot the uni cos they were so oppressed, oh sorry that was just another, false claim.
If one does look into, it is clearly highlighted on the birzeit website,the student council is made up of a majority vote from HAMAS, the terrorist group, (so called by the UK home office) Now looking at it, where the UK can and does 'indefinatly detain any persons who may have terrorist dealings whether in a direct of indirect fashion' leads me to think therefore according to our own system here, Israel is completely justified in what it does.
Now looking at the historyu of the uni, which has claimed a fair share of suicide attacks against other unis, asctivily supports suicide bombings, displays bombing carried out in mock themes, and encourages students for intifada, one would lead to think that the president/chairman of the union would have something to do with this, being he is as defined in the const a representative of the student guild then the Israelis would have a claim to arrest him.
Further, to this claim, one can see from the tone of the source highlighted it is clearly anti israel or should I say anti zionist forces, were this to come from a credible source that does not use such rediculopus terminology then I would agree with it.
One must also point out the persons involved is also quoted as saying "Let us renew the resistance option and bring about the collapse of the peace made by America in the Middle East." reuters being the source I would say reuters is a credible news source.
Before we start sympathising Josh, I think we need to look at what we are sympathising for? Peaceful individuals or people that do incite racial hatred?
