You're a bit out of date there.
When David Horovitz (formerly editor of the liberal magazine, 'The Jerusalem Report') took over as editor of the post over a year ago, it was under the pre-condition that he was allowed greater influence in setting the editorial tone. Since his appointment, the paper has certainly shifted to the left and now represents probably the centre-right of Israeli thought.
This is however, entirely irrelevant as the article in question was a simple 'reporting-the-facts article'. Not recognising it is akin to me refusing to recognise the Guardian article detailing Liverpool's Champions League win simply because I dislike some of the content of some its editorials.
