Imperialism is about both exploitation and interfearances, there is no way in which palestine is a religiouse theocracy so I have no idea what point you are trying to make unless you are an anti muslim racist which is fast becoming the most conserning form of racism in society so I would guess that because some people who are in Palestine are muslims you would make that islamophobic assumption.
I don't think that religion is a good basis for a state however, nor do I think race is.... would you say Jewdaism is a race or religion, what is Israel based upon.
